Abstract

Alkaline Phosphatase is one of the enzyme produced by human body for many reasons. One of them, Alkaline Phosphatase is produced by osteoblast cells, and mainly responsible to give a sign which the bone will regenerate. Alkaline Phosphatase is produced also in the Periodontitis patient to overcome the bone resorbtion. Objectives : This study aimed to determine amount of the released Alkaline Phosphatase Enzyme by Amniotic membrane and Platelet Rich-Fibrin Membrane. Material and Methods : The study is post test only group design. Samples are 24 Dried Amniotic Membrane and Platelet-Rich Fibrin whereas divide into 4 groups, which are 1st day, 3rd day, 5th day, and 7th day. Analysis of the difference result of two materials by Mann Whitney Test. Result: The result showed the amount of Alkaline Phosphatase Enzyme in Platelet-Rich Fibrin membrane was higher than in Amniotic Membrane. Amount of Alkaline Phosphatase Enzyme in Amniotic Membrane was 3,89 ± 3,65, while in Platelet-Rich Fibrin was 71,70 ± 10,22. Based on Mann Whitney Test p-value, the Sig. was 0,003 with a confidence level of 95%, where amount of Alkaline Phosphatase in Platelet-Rich Fibrin was higher than Amniotic Membrane per day. Conclusion : The amount of Alkaline Phosphatase released by Platelet-Rich Fibrin membrane was higher than Amniotic Membrane.
