Abstract

In the modern era, many people need information from the media. Media has power to invite audiences directly to get the information. Radio is one of the most popular media for gaining information. Audiences include people with differ ent kinds of work, age, culture, economic and social conditions. Radio is regarde d as a media that is able to broadcast a satisfying information, even though it is on ly equipped with audio element. Radio broadcasts can manage information in the form of broadcasting news, interview, air of an editorial, reportase directly, talk show and others. Prambors Radio is the biggest radio network in Indonesia. This is the first radio station located in Jakarta established in 1971. Prambors is well known as radio for young people in Indonesia. Previously, Prambors was a radio broadcast that initiated only group of young people from Central Jakarta then develop larger until today. The writer learned a lot of things from his internship as an Assistant of Program Planner at Prambors Radio 89.3 FM Surabaya.When still in school, he dreamt that someday he could get a job as a journalist. This internship program was great experience for his career later in the field of journalism and media. This is an opportunity for the writer to learn how to become a program planner and to learn how to become of copy writer. He also learned how to manage schedules for broadcast. The writer also gains more experiences and knowledge about how to operate tools for broadcast. One of the greatest experiences that the writer got in Prambors radio 89.3 FM Surabaya was that he could share his idea for the broadcast material Doing internship in Prambors radio 89.3 FM Surabaya was pleasurable an d memorable because the working atmosphere was good and the workers were friendly. The writer made friends with the workers and sometimes went out and shared about job or personal matters with them to enjoy the time. The writer also gained a lot of benefits by doing his internship in Prambors radio for he could fulfill his passion in media and broadcast, especially to become a program planner and pro gram director. Finally by doing an internship there, he could also apply what he has learned during his study.
