Abstract
Background : Cancer is one of the most dangerous disease around the world. In 2008, there are 12,7 million patient cancer and 7,6 million of them were dead. Colorectal cancer is cancer growth in large intestine until rectum. In USA, colorectal cancer was ranked third as the most causing death to its patient. In Indonesia colorectal cancer was ranked third as the most numerous patient among the other type of cancers and counted 1,8 / 100.000 civilians in 2006. From all of colorectal cancer patient analogically 9 of 10 patient aged more than 50 years old. Purpose : This research is intended to learn and to know further about colorectal cancer and types of treatment based on international gold standard in current location and time. Methods : This research is observational – discriptive where informations of the patients is colected and taken from medical records of colorectal cancer in RSUD Dr.Soeotmo period January – June 2014 Results : Colorectal cancer have 8 classification based on histopatholgy but only found 4 classification at RSUD Dr.Soetomo in January – June 2014 and the most numerous one is adenocarcinoma (92,60%). Grading of colorectal cancer is divided in I until IV grade, where bigger number of grade indicate more dangereous cancer in case. Patients aged 40 – 60 years old were the most numerous among the others goup of age based on classification. The highest frecuency based on location of colorectal cancer patients is in the rectum. Discussion : Patient based on grade of cancer that come to RSUD Dr. Soetomo is almostly patient with grade IV colorectal cancer, that was different from patient in USA where the most patient found in grade II colorectal cancer. Beacuse of those fact the highest frequency of treatment that be done at RSUD Dr.Soetomo in January – June 2014 is chemotherapy treatment, basically in that location and periode thera are five types of treatment that be done.
