Abstract
A mutual cooperation between Cuba and Bolivia was established in various health programs, fromcooperation of sight recoveryto diagnostic centerswhich was established and managed by Cuban doctors and local healthcare professionals. Cuba also gave healthcare professionals a qualified standard of health through Cuba's various medical education initiatives, it was hoped that doctors and health professionals in Bolivia couldproceed these programs completely. The purpose of this research was to identifikasi what factors made Cuba provide assistance to Bolivia. This thesis used qualitative methods and two kinds of data, namely primary and secondary. Primary data consisted of documents and interviews. While the secondary data collected came from relevant books, journals, newspapers and various articles. The data that was collected was analyzed in the form of descriptive analysis. Based on the results of research from various sources, the authors learned, that Cuba's interest in providing health assistance to Bolivia was a Cuban effort to draw Bolivia into ALBA in order to resist the neoliberal values dominance which had been brought by the United States.
