Abstract
Background : In the spontaneous labor, Ruptur of the perineum is the risk faced by every woman. Problems arising from the results of studies conducted in poly content of RSU Haji Surabaya from February to March 2016 showed the incidence of wound still wet at the time of control day 7 reached 13.6%, this indicates that the perineum proper wound care is needed. Green betel leaf (Piper battle) is a plant that have power as disinfectant and anti fungus because it contains compounds kavikol and kavibetol. Aim :The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cleaning genital with boiled water of green betel leaf on perineal wound healing process. Method :This research method was experimental with posttest control group design approach and non-probability sampling techniques on the 4th floor of the building Aqsa Hospital Surabaya Hajj and gynecology poly RSU Haji Surabaya. The total sample 40 people includes 20 treatment samples and 20 control samples, in July and August that have met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. While analysis of the study was a Chi Square. Result :The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect in this study. After having performed statistical tests using the software with α = 0.05, p value is 0.171. It mean that boiled water of green betel leaf nothing effect in accelerate the wound healing maternal perineal post partum, and it we can see in 7 day after labour when they come in hospital. Conclusion : The conclusion of this study, there is influence of cleaning genital with boiled water of green betel leaf on perineal post partum wound healing.
