Abstract

The feasibility analyzed effort of cultivating African catfish (Clarias garipenus) in Randu Watang Village of Jombang Regency East Java. African Catfish included in freshwater fish species with traits - traits elongated body, slightly rounded, flattened heads, no scales, large mouth, the color are gray to black. The method used is a survey method. Capital in fisheries business includes fixed capital and working capital. Fixed capital in catfish farmer of Rp. 2.630.000,00. Working capital of catfish farmer is Rp. 1.105.000,00. Total business capital of catfish farmer is Rp. 3.735.000,00. The results of financial analysis showed that the cultivation of catfish obtained by B / C Ratio of 3,29; BEP production of 227 catfish; BEP price of Rp. 15.000,00; and Payback Period within ±2 months. Based on the value of B/C Ratio of the cultivation of catfish, so, catfish cultivation business in Jombang district is feasible to be developed. So, people can learn from these research paper as a new information or knowledge either to start a new catfish cultivation at home
