Abstract

The objectives of this study is to explain and analyze the influence of board diversity on firm financial performance, using intellectual capital as an intervening variable. In this study the population taken were manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2014-2016 totaling 428 companies. Based on the specified population criteria, the sampling method is saturated sampling. Research sample of 417 companies. In this study using SPSS 22 as a data processing tool. An important finding of research is that board diversity cannot affect Intellectual capital, while intellectual capital has a positive effect on Firm financial performance, so that intellectual capital cannot be used as an intervening variable.
