Abstract

From discussion in the previous chapter, I would like to deliver the three conclusions. The first was about the problem in teaching reading for second grade students. Teaching second grade students was not easy. I encountered various problems while I taught them. For example, I had difficulty dealing with the students who were hard to control and facing various characteristics of the students. To overcome this, I looked for creative ways on the learning process so that the students could be more focused. I also asked the homeroom teacher how to deal with the whinny and quarrelsome students.In this case, my findings were in line with the statements of Alexander, Garner, and Hare (1991) that students‟ weak comprehension and low interest were two main problems in the classroom. In my observation, students were tended to show low interest rather than weak comprehension.
