Abstract

This research was aimed to observe the diameter difference and Persistent Corpus Luteum regression rate after administration of PGF via intramuscular and through submucosa vulva. The sample used in this study was 20 cattles that did not show symptoms of estrous more than one cycle. This study used a completely randomized design with 20 samples and 2 treatments. P1 is a group that was treated using PGF via intramuscular with a dose of 5 ml Enzaprost. P2 is a group that was treated with PGF through a submucosa vulva with a dose of 2.5 ml Enzaprost. Each treatment group that had been treated was observed for the development of Persistent Corpus Luteum regression performed with USG. This observation begins 24 hours after the administration of PGF and then repeated every day for 3 days. The data that were obtained will be presented in tables and were analyzed with the SPSS program using a T-test with a significant level of 5%. The result of this study showed that P2 showed higher results in regressing the diameter of the Persistent Corpus Luteum with 5141 mm. It can be concluded that the administration of PGF through submucosa vulva with fewer doses can regress the Persistent Corpus Luteum two times faster.
