Abstract

A historical event of 1965-1965 had became a darkness part of Indonesian history, untill nowadays it has been led for many consequences regarding the human right violation. Many story and perspectives about the event has been widely spread following the end of Soeharto regime, where in his presidential period there was only a provided narration by the government which explain it. But after the regime had collapsed, which signe by a monumental reformation on May 1998, It’s lead to a new phase in the search for the truth of 1965 event. Many efforts has been done to investigate the true understanding of 1965 story fact, which created by the new order regime for the last 32 years. Many ways has been tried to provide by the national comission of human rights through an educational movie and reearch, as a representative of the author in examining advocacy which has been created post-1998 reformation untill 2015. On 2015, International People’s Tribunal 1965 (IPT 65) formed and begin as a new hope for advocating 1965 event in Indonesia. This research intended to explain why IPT 65 existed with such a transnational-network advocating concept. In this research, author using an analytical framework of social movement, transnational-network advocate, and human right concept. This research using a qualitative method and literature data collection. In many collected data in this research, author found out that IPT 65 using a political-structural opportunity and historical rightness framing as a strategy for the movement, as well as politica information, political symbol, and moral influence as a networking tactic
