Abstract

ANTIFUNGAL POTENCY OF FERMENTATION BROTH OF Streptomyces sp. F ISOLATED FROM RKBS SOIL TO Candida albicans In all 9 Streptomyces spp strains were isolated from RKBS soil samples. All of the isolates were purified and screened for their antifungal activity against Candida albicans. Six of the nine isolates exhibited highest activity against fungi. One promising strain, Streptomyces sp. F, with strong antifungal potency against Candida albicans was selected for further studies. The aim of this research are to determine the production profile, growth profile, and potency against Candida albicans compared to Ketoconazole. Streptomyces sp. F was grown in ISP-4 fermentation broth and shaked using Thermoshaker at 32oC. It was also grown in PDB media in the same condition. The highest antifungi production time was at the ninety sixth hour. The highest growth point was at the sixth hour. The potency of the fermentation broth of Streptomyces sp. F was compared to Ketokonazole against Candida albicans and it was showed a high potency ratio
