Abstract

Drug is mostly consumed via oral administration. One of dosage forms that is mostly used is tablet, because it is more efficient, practical, and ideal for oral administration. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of combination Spray Dried Lactose and Avicel 102 as filler binder and Sodium Starch Glycolate as disintegrant. The evaluation of physical quality include hardness, friability, disintegration time as well as dissolution rate of tablet. Combination Spray Dried Lactose and Avicel 102 as filler binder and Sodium Starch Glycolate as disintegrant produce good formula with good flow rate and has the compactibility mixtures of the powder. Based on the four main formulas, combination Spray Dried Lactose and Avicel 102 as filler binder and Sodium Starch Glycolate as disintegrant produce better optimization result in the formula 2. This result is obtained by the hardness (4,84  0,27) kP, friability (0,76 + 0,28) %, disintegration time (5,14  0,42) minute dan % as well as optimal dissolution rate 80,50 % that showed that within the feasible area of the design space, the tablets met the spesifications. The result showed that levels of combination Spray Dried Lactose and Avicel 102 as filler binder and Sodium Starch Glycolate which produce physiscal quality (hardness, friability, and disintegration time) as well as optimal dissolution rate were found as the result of overlaid contour plot by using statistical analysis software Minitab 18.
