Abstract

The objective of the present study was to optimize and validate the method for the simultaneous analysis of B1, B2, and B6 vitamins by HPLC using RP-18 Ultra High Purity Silica column (150 mm x 4.6 mm, 3 μm particle size). The best separation was achieved by linear gradient elution with a mobile phase consisting of 0.01% trifluoroacetic acid of pH 3.9 (solvent A) and methanol (solvent B) at the flow rate of 0.5 ml min-1 with UV detection set at 280 nm. The separation showed symmetrical peaks and good resolution of the vitamins. The method demonstrated good accuracy, precision and linearity of area responses within the concentration range used, with r ≥ 0.999. The method was successfully applied for the analysis of vitamin in samples.
