Abstract

The study aims to measure quality of Jawa Randu’s raw goat milk at Siliragung Subdistrict Banyuwangi by using Total Plate Count Test. Milk samples was taken from four Jawa Randu farms in Siliragung subdistrict Banyuwangi. The samples of raw milk was taken from the milk container bottle using 10 ml glass pipette. The samples were stored in the cooler box and then taken to the laboratory. TPC testing was conducted in Duplo. The results of the calculations showed that the average bacterial contamination in each of the farms are 2,5x105 CFU/ml, 2,2x105CFU/ml, 8,3x105 CFU/ml and 8,5x105 CFU/ml. The result of the calculation exceeds the maximum bacterial contamination in Thai Agricultural Standard (2008) on the quality of fresh goat milk. From these results could be concluded that the quality of Jawa Randu raw goat milk in the Siliragung subdistrict Banyuwangi was still not good.
