Abstract
Cadmium in the aquatic system shad became a serious problem because it has a harmful effect on human.New technology is needed to removec admium from contaminated water cadmium can be detected by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) method. The removal of cadmium ions from aqueous solution using Cocos nucifera powder as the adsorbent was reported in this paper. The aim of the research was to find the optimal of mixing time and concentration adsorbent for removal of Cadmium ions. The result optimum condition was found at mixing time 120 minutes and concentration adsorbent 2 % b/v .
