Abstract
This research is to study and identify the presence of Spirometra sp. in Crab-eating Frog (Fejervarya cancrivora) in Magelang District, Central Java. Forty samples of Crab-eating Frog from collectors and rice field in Magelang District was dissected in Laboratory of Parasitology Department, Airlangga University. Staining and identification process used Semichen- Acetic Carmine. The result were found 20 positive samples and 20 negative samples from total 40 samples. Spirometra sp. larvae (plerocercoid) was found in hindlimb musculus and abdomen subcutaneous of Crab-eating Frog. The other unknown species of tapeworm was found in intestine of the frog. The result showed that there is sparganosis case in Crab-eating Frog from Magelang District, Central Java.
