Abstract
Infestasi ektoparasit pada kucing merupakan infeksi yang disebabkan oleh parasit yang hidup diluar tubuh inang. Ektoparasit yang sering menginfestasi kucing yaitu kutu, tungau, pinjal dan caplak.. Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan yang dilakukan pada kucing yang datang ke RSHP UNAIR pada bulan Maret sampai Mei disimpulkan 12 ekor kucing positif terinfeksi ektoparasit yaitu tungau Sarcoptes scabiei. 4 kucing terinfestasi tungau Otodectes Cynotis dan 1 kucing terinfestasi tungau Demodex. Infestasi ektoparasit ini tergolong rendah dan tidak menunjukkan gejala klinis. Kucing yang datang ke RSHP UNAIR umumnya hanya melakukan pemeriksaan umum (medical checkup) atau penyakit lain yang tidak berhubungan dengan infestasi ektoparasit.
