Abstract

Some points can be conclucded from this final report about applying the flashcard method in teaching English that answers two problem statements, common problems arise in applying the flashcard method and solutions to solve the problem. First, the problem of 4th grade students at SDN Racitengah Sidayu Gresik is that students are still afraid of speaking English. Sometimes they are still struggling to understand a few sentences in English because of the minimum vocabulary that they master, to overcome this I apply the flashcard method in daily teaching. Students will get new vocabulary at each meeting. By applying the flashcard method in learning, makes students more active and easier to doing exercise and in conducting dialogues in English.
