Abstract

The backgroundof PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) is an international standard maritime and shipping sector industry. This provided the writer a lot of knowledge about the language of terms related to mechanical engineering, maritime industry, shipping, and shipping. The problems like this caused the writer constrained herself when giving information to the public. That is why the writer discussed the problem in providing information to the public as the final report. The writer also stated the obstacles with shipping vocabulary, because this is the first time the writer did an internship at PT PAL Indonesia (Persero) as a protocol. Almost all employees who work in public relations departments have educational backgrounds related to shipping or maritime engineering, so their knowledge of language terms and vocabulary related to company background is not in doubt. But it is different with the writer, this is an experience that cannot be forgotten because the writer was trusted by the head of the public relations department and seniors to engage directly with people who are experts in shipping and learn from them. After learning directly with the experts, the writer could report to the protocol employees to discuss.
