Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the pattern of antibiotic resistance against Enterobacterieceae bacteria which causes mastitis in dairy cows. Mastitis is one of the most common problems in dairy farming in Indonesia. The manifestations of mastitis in dairy cows are divided into two types, namely clinical and subclinical mastitis. Subclinical mastitis is mastitis that did not show clinical symptoms and can only be identified by examining the number of somatic cells and bacteria in the milk produced by the quartier, whereas clinical mastitis can reveal physical changes in udder and milk. From this study, it was found that 100 samples experienced an average of +1, +2, +3 in the CMT Test, 32 samples from 100 samples were Enterobacteriaceae bacteria, with 21 samples of Escherichia coli bacteria, 3 samples of Salmonella sp. and 8 samples Klebsiella sp. Enterobacteriaceae bacteria were tested for antibiotic sensitivity and the results showed the Escherichia coli isolate with a total of 21 samples was resistant to Ampicillin 14.3%, Nalidixic Acid 9,5%, and Cefotaxim 4.8%. Three samples of Salmonella sp. experienced resistance to Nalidixic Acid 33% and Cefotaxim 33%. Eight samples of Klebsiella sp. isolates was resistant to Ampicillin 62.5% and Cefotaxim 12.5%.
