Abstract

Quercetin is a flavonoid compound that contained in Averrhoa bilimbi leaves and can be extracted by maceration method to be extract. This extract can be made in syrup for development of herbal preparation. UV Spectrophotometric be used in determination of quercetin concentration from Averrhoa bilimbi in syrup. This method assessed simple, quick, and relative cheap, so its give benefit for analyze many samples. Method validation is needed to assure if the analytic aspects were valid and the validation parameters measured in this research were selectivity, liniearity, LOD and LOQ, precision, and accuracy. Selectivity has showed that spectra have maximum wavelength in λ=374 nm. Linearity was acquired from regression function y = 0,07923x – 0,07056 with correlation coefficient r = 0,9988 and Vxo = 2,42%. Precision has showed variant coefficient KV = 0,24%. LOD and LOQ has showed 0,0223 and 0,0745. And accuracy was % recovery = 94,02% ± 3,46%. Quercetin concentration in leaves extract was 6,708% (b/b) ± 5,72% and quercetin concentration in syrup was 63,06 mg
