Abstract

Cholera is an acute diarrhoeal infection caused by the ingestion of contaminated food and beverages with the Vibrio cholerae bacteria. This disease spreads around the world and still become one of the global health problems. This thesis aims to analyze the stability of the equilibrium point in the mathematical model of cholera transmission with vaccination and applying optimal control variables in the form of hygiene and healthy environment campaign, medical treatment, and environmental sanitation improvement in a mathematical model of cholera transmission with vaccination. In this mathematical model of cholera transmission with vaccination, we obtain two equilibriums namely, the non-endemic equilibrium and the endemic equilibrium.
