Abstract

The importance parameter in order to diagnose diabetes mellitus (DM) and monitoring of blood glucose levels routinely is using blood glucose measurement as an indicator. Within the past year, instrument of glucose levels using enzymatic methods that require a long time and still require taking blood. Measuring a blood glucose level promptly and no longer taking a blood are the most advantages from a candidate instrument using impedance method. The aim of this research is to design a candidate instrument of blood glucose level with bioimpedance method that can be used to measure glucose level, determine the performance of candidate instrument of blood glucose level using bioimpedance method, and get impedance value from glucose solution at different frequency. Sampling in this study is using glucose level. The electrode used in the measuring method as a current giver intothe sample and is used as a voltage tapper from the sample. The tapping voltage processed with an instrument amplifier, and filtered using a High Pass Filter circuit to remove noise. Arduino UNO Microcontroller used as a data processor and displays measurements on the LCD. This study intended for developing an alternative measurements of glucose levels. By and large, the result of designing a glucose solution level has an accuracy level of 80.33% with error value ± 19.67% with comparable glucose solution. Hence, the impedence value of the glucose solution will also decrease as the frequency increases. This study intended for alternative measurements of glucose levels.
