Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus is one of the non-communicable diseases which is a major problem in the health sector in the world and even in Indonesia. Diabetes mellitus can cause complications of other non-communicable diseases if the disease is not treated properly. Non-communicable diseases that can result from diabetes are stroke, kidney failure and heart disease. Method: This type of research is analytic observational with a case control study design. The sample size in this study was 107 people consisting of 52 cases and 55 controls with simple random sampling method. Results: Based on the results of this study, it was found that there was a significant influence between age (p = 0.036), nutritional status (p = 0.018), family history of coronary heart disease (p = 0.001), and HbA1c levels (p = 0.025). There were three candidate variables that were subjected to further analysis using multiple logistic regression tests, namely age (p = 0.100), nutritional status (p = 0.192), smoking history (p = 0.215). The end result of multiple regression analysis obtained two risk indicators for coronary heart disease, namely age and nutritional status. The risk index for coronary heart disease was obtained (-0,560 + 0.847 * age 65-82 years + 1,099 * obesity nutritional status). The results of the kappa analysis showed that 0.2143 means that it has weak reliability so that it cannot be used in the high and low risk diagnosis of type 2 diabetes patients suffering from coronary heart disease. Conclusion: There is a significant influence between age, nutritional status, family history of coronary heart disease and HbA1c levels. The risk index in this study is weak so that it cannot be used in the diagnosis of high risk and high and low risk of type 2 diabetes patients suffering from coronary heart disease.
