Abstract

Minerals are substances that play an important role in the human body and are one of the determining indicators of health in the human body. Minerals have important functions for human health, such as forming body tissues, activating, regulating and controlling metabolic processes, growth, maintenance of the body and diverting nerve messages. If this mineral is consumed in excess of the levels required by the body, it can cause toxicity effects (toxic) to the body. Minerals are divided into two groups, namely macrominerals. The purpose of the literature review is to determine that the AAS method can be used to analyze calcium and zinc metal minerals in health supplements based on parameters of accuracy, precision, specificity or selectivity, linearity, limit of detection and limit of quantitation. The research method used is literature review with a narrative review type. Based on the results of literature search, there were 5 articles that discussed the instrument, sample preparation, method validation and research methods used. So from the results of this review literature that the AAS method can be used to analyze calcium and zinc metal minerals in health supplements.
