Abstract

Political literacy is one of the basic keterampilans that every information age citizens need to have, the political literacy keterampilan was developed to minimize the political problems originating from the endless amount of political information. The lack of political literacy keterampilans can be showed through anarchy such as demonstration or riot, and also easily provoked by false information (hoax). Not infrequently these actions are often carried out by vocational high school (SMK) students, considering the behavior shown by students, this research was conducted to see how is the political literacy keterampilans of vocational high school students in Sidoarjo. This research is a descriptive quantitative study with a simple random sampling technique, with 200 respondents consisting of students of state vocational high schools (SMKN) in Sidoarjo. There are three components used to see the level of political literacy in students, which are Pengetahuan, keterampilans, attitude, and value. Based on the research conducted, it is known that the literacy level of SMKN students is scored in the high category with an average total score of 4.08, from the results it is known that the highest average is obtained in the Sikap dan Nilai component with an average of 4.21 in the high category.
