Abstract
The aim of this study was to estimated the carcass weight of limousin crossbreed cow based on chest girth, body height, and body length. This research was using 30 of limousin cross bulls. Samples were taken from Rumah Potong Hewan, Pegirian, Surabaya, using survey method with the sampling object were measured chest girth, body height and body length. Carcass weighing was carried out after the cow was slaughtered and weighed using a scale. The data were analyzed by SPSS, the hypothesis was tested by multiple linear regression. The module is appropriate if the p value is ≤ 0.05. To test the simultaneous effect of variables, the F test is used. The equation is obtained using the Stepwise Test. The result showed that chest girth can be used to estimate the carcass weight of limousin crossbreed cattle. The coefficient value between chest girth (0.00) and body weight most strongest compared to body height (0.19) and body length (0.79).
