Abstract
The aim of the study was to examined the hepatoprotective effect of Moringa oleifera leaf extract on the histopatological features liver of male BALB/C mice exposed by rhodamin B. Totally of twenty five healthy male mice age 3-4 months with a body weight of 20-30 grams everage of body weight were used.The mice were devided into five groups C(-),C(+),T1,T2, and T3, each group was divided into five mice were treat for 21 days and adopt for 7 days. The treatmen were given on 8th days. Group C(-) was given aquadest. Group C(+) was given aquadest and 15 mg/25 g bw rhodamin B. Group T1, T2, and T3 were given 10, 20, and 40 mg/ 25 g bw by of moringa oleifera leaf extract respectively, and after that 15 mg/25 g bw rhodamin B for each group. On the 28th days, male BALB/C mice was dissected and the liver was taken to made histopathological preparation. The data was analyze with ANOVA test and Duncan test. The analysis result showed that C(+) significant to C(-), T1, T2, and T3. The result showed that Moringa oleifera leaf extract has hepatoprotective effect. The dose of 20 mg/25 g bw Moringa oleifera leaf extract could provide the best protective effect compared to dose of 10 mg/25 g bw and 40 mg/25 g bw.
