Abstract

Seedlings of brassica chinensis L. were grown in MS medium culture for 22 day and move to MS with adding hormone benzyladenin medium. Shoot culture of Brassica chinensis L. was treated in lead containing media with various concentrations (0, 10, 20 and 30 ppm Pb2+) for 3 a week. Growth index and total leaf will be measured on each bottle to see the stability of the shoot culture. The ability of Brassica chinensis L to remediate the lead in the media will be measured by analyzing the Pb2+ accumulation in the shoot culture biomass with Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer instrument. Each week is harvested for the stem and leaves were analyzed microscopically and macroscopically. From microscopic observation, there is no plant tissue necrosis but macroscopically seen that the levels of 30ppm all plants in the second week of the analysis of all the leaves yellow. Metal content in the biomass was analyzed using AAS. From the analysis of Pb2+ metal content in the shoot of Brassica chinensis L. was not detected because on the lower sensitivity test (0,3ppm).
