Abstract

The Test Effect of Combination Therapy Standardized Ethyl Acetate Fraction lor="#FF0000">Cassia lor="#FF0000">siamea L. and Artesunate on Liver Pathology of Mice (Mus musculus) Infected by Plasmodium berghei were studied. There were five groups with a different model of therapy, the group 1 was treated with Ethyl Acetate Fraction Standardized of lor="#FF0000">Cassia lor="#FF0000">siamea L. and Artesunate, group 2 was treated with Combination Artesunate and Amodiaquin which suggested by WHO (Artemisinin-based Combination Therapy), group 3 was treated with Artesunate and 2 other groups were negative and healthy group, CMC-Na only as therapy on Mice infected P. berghei for negative control and a healthy mice without infected of P. berghei for healthy group. The result showed that the point of SGPT and SGOT levels of group 1 to 3 are 62.7 & 217; 48 & 176.7; 81.3 & 220.3 respectively . Negative control and healthy group showed 104 & 254.3; 49.7 & 144.3 respectively. From the histopathology result, showed that scoring of group 1 to 3 are 4.5; 5.5 and 6.25. respectively. The result showed that group 1 and group 2 can reduce side effect of liver damage on mice infected by P. berghei, it shows from the less of SGPT and SGOT and the damage to the liver which less then negative control.
