Abstract

Dormitories are an area with the potential to become a new cluster for the spread of Covid-19. Efforts to reopen hostel services require readiness to face the risk of the spread of Covid-19. Risk analysis is a part of risk management as an effort to deal with risks. Considering that the government has determined the Covid-19 pandemic as a non-natural disaster, in dormitory management it is necessary to pay attention to disaster risk management. Risk analysis consists of risk identification, risk analysis and risk evaluation. Risk assessment is a component of disaster risk management in disaster management. The implementation of risk analysis and disaster risk assessment is expected to go in line with risk reduction. This research is an applied research with a quantitative approach with cross-sectional data collection. The available population is 55 people. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a sample size of 15 respondents. The data collection technique used a direct questionnaire to the respondents. Data were analyzed using Spearman test. The results show risk identification (very good, 60.00%), risk analysis (good enough, 53.33%), risk evaluation (good, 40%), disaster risk assessment (very good, 53.33%) and risk assessment. against the spread of Covid-19 (moderate, 60%). The risk assessment is very good at assessing the risk of spreading Covid-19 in the medium category (77.80%) (correlation coefficient of -0.56 and p-value = 0.842). Respondents with a fairly good risk analysis assessment assessed the risk of spreading Covid-19 in the moderate category (75.00%) (correlation coefficient of -0.082 and p-value = 0.770). Respondents with a good risk evaluation assessed the risk of spreading Covid-19 in the moderate category (66.70%) (correlation coefficient of -0.002 and p-value = 0.994). Respondents with disaster risk assessment very well assessed the risk of spreading Covid-19 in the medium category (62.50%) (correlation coefficient of -0.256 and p-value = 0.357). The conclusion of the study had no effect on each of the variables on the risk of spreading Covid-19 in student dormitories. There is an assessment of the risk of spread at medium to high risk even though risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation and disaster risk assessment have been carried out properly. This is due to perceptions of risks due to central management policies and the situation of the spread of Covid-19 around the dormitory area.
