Abstract
Tindakan IVF konvensional dilakukan dengan mempertemukan oosit dengan spermatozoa di cawan petri sehingga terjadi pembuahan. Pada kasus sulit infertelitas, seperti oosit imatur dan spermatozoa imotil, angka keberhasilan Civf menurun. Penambahan kalsium ionofor saat maturasi oosit imatur dan penambahan pentoksifilin untuk spermatozoa imotil diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keberhasilan cIVF. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai kualitas embrio pasca cIVF dengan penambahan kalsium ionofor dan pentoksifilin. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian laboratorium eksperimental yang menggunakan sampel spermatozoa dan oosit dari Mus musculus sebagai hewan coba. Variabel tergantung adalah motilitas spermatozoa, maturitas oosit, dan kualitas embrio. Proses maturasi ditemukan lebih banyak terjadi dengan penambahan CaI (45%), dan motilitas spermatozoa juga meningkat dengan penambahan pentoksifilin (31%). Kualitas embrio setelah penambahan CaI dan PTX (hari pertama 58%, hari ketiga 33%) berbeda secara bermakna dibandingkan tanpa penambahan, meskipun tidak berbeda jika dibandingkan dengan penambahan CaI saja atau PTX saja. Sebagai kesimpulan, penambahan kalsium untuk oosit imatur dan pentoksifilin untuk spermatozoa imotil mungkin bermanfaat untuk kualitas embrio pasca cIVF, namun diperlukan penelitian lanjutan.
