Abstract
Latar Belakang: Tanggal prematur gigi sulung merupakan kondisi gigi sulung yang tanggal sebelum waktu erupsi gigi permanen penggantinya. Tanggal prematur gigi sulung dapat menyebabkan kehilangan ruang pada lengkung gigi karena adanya pergerakan gigi ke ruang yang kosong sehingga dapat menyebabkan gigi permanen tumbuh tidak normal. Penggunaan space maintainer merupakan pilihan perawatan yang tepat untuk mempertahankan ruang akibat tanggal prematur gigi sulung. Pada kasus tertentu, perawatan yang tepat dapat dianjurkan dengan penggunaan peranti modifikasi band and loop. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui prosedur teknik pembuatan modifikasi band and loop pada kasus tanggal prematur gigi molar dua sulung. Kasus: Laboratorium menerima model kerja dengan kasus tanggal prematur pada gigi molar dua sulung dan diminta untuk membuat peranti modifikasi band and loop yang memiliki lengan dan lup berbentuk dumbbell. Kesimpulan: Tahap pembuatan peranti modifikasi band and loop ini meliputi penerimaan model kerja, pembuatan desain modifikasi band and loop, penyesuaian molar band, pembuatan lup, dilanjutkan penyoldiran lup dengan molar band, dan tahap terakhir yaitu finishing dan polishing.
