Abstract

The advancement of technology and communication has an impact on human life, including the educational process. Universities use websites to increase their popularity as a source of information for the general public. One method of disseminating information at the university level is to keep the news up to date as it happens. The result showed that the writer followed the rules of news writing, such as using the appropriate number of words for the news title and using active voice in the news title. Also, when writing news content, adhere to the rules. Meanwhile, in this report, there is a tendency for news uploaded on the D3 English Study Program website to not fully implement the 5W+1H element, with only one news item containing a complete 5W+1H element.
