Abstract
With the rapid development of times, people start to get interested in reading books from different language backgrounds to learn and understand other languages and cultures. Also, with the low reading interest in Indonesian society, especially among students, providing varieties of translated books can be a way to escalate the public interest in reading. However, in the translation process, translators often face several problems and they should be able to find the best strategies to solve the problems. The writer conducted a study by doing a product-based internship project, by translating a book from English to Bahasa Indonesia to solve the problems. The writer did an observation and used the documents from the translated book to be analysed. The results of the study showed that the structure of the language and idioms as the problems could be solved using several translation strategies. They were transposition, adaptation, and calque. The analysis disclosed that such problems might be encountered by the writer in the translation process, and a procedure could be applied to translate the book's content.
