Abstract

The aims of this study were identified of avian reovirus (ARV) from the chickens with tenosynovitis by indirect sandwich-enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (is-ELISA), and analysis of protein virus by sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS -PAGE), and characterized of protein by western blot. Several chickens from flock with the hock-joint disturbance used a sample in the study. Virus was isolated in chicken embryonated eggs (CEE) and chicken embryo fibroblast (CEF) from the lymph, respiratory tract (trachea), gastrointestinal tract (intestine ), synovial fluid and hock-joint suspension of suspected chick with the AEV infection. The viral isolate was well adopted and titrated at second passage level in CEE and CEF. The is-ELISA revealed that the isolate is of reovirus. In western blot protein of ARV detected was antigenic and have molecular weight were 147,5; 130,6; 114,3; 74,1; 70,8; 41; 38,8 and 31,7 kDa.
