Abstract

A new type of respiratory disease has been found in Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market, in Wuhan, China at the end of 2019. It was reported, thousands people were killed and over seventy thousand were infected, caused by Coronavirus called as SARS-CoV2. Human to human transmission was due to droplets of infected people during coughing and sneezing, and also fomites. This review article was written to know how SARS-CoV2 virus can infect animals and causes a viral zoonosis. References were collected from Google Scholar, NCBI, WHO Website, Science Direct, Elsevier and Veterinary Science website that published article within the year of 2009 until year of 2020. It is known that SAR-CoV2 infects wether animals or humans through the same receptors called ACE2. Animals that can be infected with Covid 19 include cats, dogs, minks, non-human primate, lions, tigers and hamsters. Coronavirus is an RNA virus that can easily mutate so that it is more easily transmitted between humans, and between animals and humans
