Abstract
This research aims to find out the influence of governmental integrity index on the economy of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states. Independent variables in this research include governmental integrity index, inflation, total population, and foreign direct investment. Meanwhile, dependent variable includes economy which is measured by gross domestic product (GDP). This research employs quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis technique. Data used are secondary data obtained from The Heritage Foundation, World Bank, and UNCTAD. The result of the research shows that governmental integrity index has a positive and statistically significant influence on the economy of a state. Furthermore, the other variables: inflation has a negative and significant influence on the economy, and total population has a positive and significant influence on it, while foreign direct investment is the only variable which does not have the significant influence. Simultaneously, all independent variables have positive and significant influences on the economy of OIC member states.
