Abstract

This study concerns the phenomenon of the use of Solo-Yogyakarta dialect by the host of @Show_Imah talk show. The aim of this study is describe how the Solo-Yogya dialect of the host of @Show_Imah talk show is reflected in her speech in the talk show. The data were collected by recording file and downloading the video from the internet, www.youtube.com. The result of the study shows that there are three Javanese linguistic features used by the host that are phonological, lexical and morphological features. Concerning pronunciation features, there is sound alteration. In terms of Javanese lexicon, there are 70 glosses that reflect the Javanese lexicon, which consists of: 15 verbs, 17 nouns, 8 pronouns, 7 numerals, 11 as adjectives, 7 adverbs, 11 kata tugas and 3 interjections. In terms of morphology, there are prefixes, suffixes, circumfixes and reduplication. In brief, those features reflect Soimah’s regional dialect that is Solo-Yogyakarta dialect.
