Abstract
Berbagai penyakit infeksi pada anak masih merupakan persoalan besar di Indonesia. Sebagian penyakit tersebut memang hanya ditemukan di daerah tropis, sebagian lagi sebenarnya pernah didapatkan di seluruh dunia namun pada saat ini hanya tersisa di sedikit negara saja. Beban banyak penyakit infeksi dari berbagai spektrum belum dapat dihilangkan karena upaya pencegahan juga tidak berjalan optimal.
