Abstract
One of the effort to fight malaria is looking for new antimalarial drugs. Whichcould be started by looking for plants th~u are traditionally used as antimalarial herbs and Cassia siallll1a is one of the herbs lIsed in Indonesia as antimalarial drug. This research was done to know the antimalarial activity of alkaloid isolated from C. .viallll!a 1e.1ves. The result of ill "ilm antimalarial activity of alkaloid isolated of C.siamea leaves against P . .Iilldpantlll A2 from Myanmar was was found to have an Ie 511 = 0.24 J.lg/ml , The research showed that alkaloid isolated of C. .vialllea leaves has higher antimalarial activity.
