Abstract

Talking about the description of urban women in the movie, it can be clearly seen in " Mengejar Mas Mas " movie which represented by Ningsih character who is new comer woman at productive age from a village in Yogyakarta and lives and also works in a Yogyakarta city as prostitute because her housband died. It implies that the description of urban woman in this movie can be said negative such as : the description of urban woman as an incompatible person, less carrier oriented and les knoledgeable. Finally without having academic capability, therefore what she does is doing illegal informal activity for instance as a prostitute
