Abstract
Background. Cardiovasculer disease is the biggest cause of death in Indonesia. Now, hypertension is not only at the old peoples, but at young peoples also. A teory mentions that there is a releationship between of hypertension and periodontal diseases. Old age is a risk factor to periodontal diseases. However, there are just a few researches about releationship beetwen of hypertension and level of alveolar crest. This study will observes and analyses the level of alveolar crest in men with hypertension by bitewing radiographic technique. Purpose. To see the different radiographic image of alveolar crest’s level in patients with hypertensio n according to their old. Method. There are three groups of samples, mens with hypertension at 20 -30 years old, 31-40 years old, and 41-50 years old with consist of 10 peoples in every groups to be taken bitewing radiographic in all posterior regions to o see alveolar crest’s levels. Result. There are significant differential of olveolar crest’s level between of all group samples. Conclusion. Getting older, the level of alveolar crest in patients with hypertension getting lower.
