Abstract

Lord Of The Flies is the first famous novel of William Golding. It has been studied in schools and universities all over the world, and it has been the subject of an award-winning film by the distinguished director Peter Brook. As the other Golding’s novels, Lord Of The Flies shows Golding’s belief that the evil nature of human being is inherent in man. It means that man is capable to do evil is the result of their own nature. In this novel, the evil of human nature which is presented through the characters is selfishness, greed for food and power, through the adventure of a group of schoolboys on an uninhabited tropical island who are isolated from the outside world and the adults world.
