Abstract

Adolescent is a transition period through childhood into adulthood. During the transition period, adolescents are at the high risk to do a deviant sexual behavior, especially who lived around the fonner prostitution. Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior, the behavior was influenced by intention, while intention was influenced by three factors: attitude, subjective nonn and perceived behavioral control. This study was aimed to analyze factors correlating with the intention doing sexual activity on adolescents surrounding fonner prostitution . Design used in this study was analitical descriptive with cross-sectional approached. The population in this study was all students in second grade at SMK Antartika Surabaya. Total sample was 50 respondents, taken according to purposive sampling. The independent variables were attitude about prevention of sexual activity, subjective nonn about sexuality, perception of adolescents' ability about sexual activity control. The dependent variable was intention doing sexual activity. Data were collected by using structured questionnaire and then analyzed by using speannen's rho test with level of significance of ~ 0,05. Results showed that attitude about prevention of sexual activity had correlation with intention doing sexual activity (p=0,000), perception of adolescents' ability about sexual activity control had correlation with intention doing sexual activity (p=0,000) and subjective nonns about sexuality had no correlation with intention to do sexual activity (p=0,146). It can be concluded that there are two factors has correlation with intention to sexual activity. Further studies should involve larger respondents and better measurement tools to obtain more accurate results.
