Abstract

Loneliness is a problem which often oceur in elderly. Loneliness as a potential nursing problem can caused by lost a partner or lovely person. disease process, and mobilization to a new places. Reminiscence group care can increase social interaction. share the personal event in the past, and know the psychological dynamics frern the other. so loneiiness can be redueed. The objective of this study was to analize the effect of reminiscence group care elderly with loneliness. The method of this research was Quasy Experiment design with purposive sampling. The population were elderly who siay in UPT PSLU Pasuruan, and selected 14 sample who are having iniclusion criteria. The data were analized by Wilcoxen Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney UTest. The result showed. there was difference degree of loneliness in treatment group (p=0,027), and no difference degree of loneliness in control group (p=0,271). The result or Mann Whitney U Test showed that reminiscence group care was no influence to reduce loneliness (p=0,304), but difference of mean value between pre test and post test in treatment group (10,43) and in control group (2,71) explain that decrease of loneliness in treatment group by reminiscence group care.
