Abstract

From August 2000 to Febuary 2001 we had made study for 110 injured patients who have low trauma scoreand had an operatived and admitted to hospital for at least ten days after operation in Dr. Soetonto Hospital Surabaya. The simple system was adapted for this study was Champion's trauma score 110 patients with low trauma scorewere evaluated, consist of 78 males ( 70,91 % ) and 32 females f 29,09 % ). The lowest score is 4 of one patient and this patient are dead at first day after operation. In this study 80 ( 72.73 % ) patients with low trauma score ( TS 1 — 10 ) were dead. There is no patient at score below 4. The injured patients who came with the group scoring I ( TS I - 5 ) have 1,82 % probability of survival, and in group 2 ( TS 6 —10) have 25,45 %. The majority of trauma is traffic accident about 81,82 % from all patients, and 57,27 % are motor vehicle accident There is still a life chance to the patients with trauma score between 6 to 10 if they are refferecl to hospital with intubation.
