Thesis thesis, UNIVERSITAS AIRLANGGA.
Abstract
The objective of this study was to determine response pattern of immunocompetent cells mobilization due to the influence of adrenaline, hydrocortisone, and combination of both. This was a laboratory experimental study using Randomized Posttest Only Control Group Design. Experimental animals used were 40 male Sprague-Dawley strain Rattus norvegicus of three months old, divided randomly into 4 treatment groups withl 0 repetitions. Treatments given were as follows : aquabidest 0.18 ml (Kl), adrenaline 0.009 mg (K2), hydrocortisone 1.8 mg (K3), combination of adrenaline 0.009 mg and hydrocortisone 1.8 mg (K4), all given intramuscularly. The animals were anaesthetized with eter. Samples taken 3 m1 intracardially after treatment and collected into reaction tube filled with EDTA Data was analyzed using Manova and discriminant analysis, so that three significant discriminant variables were found, i.e. neutrophil, lymphocyte, and eosinophil. Result showed that response patterns of neutrophil, lymphocyte, and eosinophil due to influence of adrenaline, hydrocortisone, and combination of both adrenaline and hydrocortisone were different (p < 0.05). Based on the appearance of mobilization response pattern, it can be concluded that the influence of adrenaline cause the lowest mobilization response pattern in eosinophil and lymphocyte has the highest Hydrocortisone cause the lowest mobilization response pattern in eosinophil and neutrophil has the highest. The combination of both cause the lowest mobilization response pattern in neutrophil and lymphocyte has the highest.
