Abstract

This researches was aim to know the difference of influence plyometric exercise in grass and sand field to power, leg muscle anaerobic endurance and reaction time. This research's design was "the pretests — post test control group design". The sample was 30 people, i.e. male university student in 4th semester, in education of sport coaching who was making lecture type in training of soccer II, Sport Science Faculty; UNESA. Sample was divided into two groups, each group contains, of 15 people in grass and 15 people in sand. Grass group doing modification plyometric exercise in grass field and sand group doing modification plyometric exercise i.e. jump ahead, and then jump to the right, and jump back to the left continuously, without stopping. Data analyze technique was processing by descriptive statistic, normality distribution test, homogeneity test and multivariate test (Manova). This exercise was done in six weeks, with exercise frequency three times in a week. Variable power, leg muscle anaerobic endurance and reaction time was measuring first time, after second week, fourth week, and sixth week of exercise. The result was as follows :In grass group power increased 20.333 joule significantly, In sand group increased 30.933 joule deference. This result showed exercise in sand had more power than in grass. Exercise in sand increased leg muscle anaerobic endurance 19.933 time per minute and 9.933 time per minute in grass. An endurance of sand field is was higher than in grass. Reaction time had no changer either in grass of sand. It is concluded that modification plyometric in sand increased power, and anaerobic endurance and no changer in reaction time.
