Abstract

Student nurse is a unique subject, when student nurse implement clinical practice they must play role and here responsible as a nurse. Student nurse is expected to show a good caring behaviour. Previous research perfonned to the nurse. The purposive of this research was to analyze the corellation of motivation and personality student nurse with caring behaviour in providing nursing care. This research used cross sectional design. The population was all of student nurse who implement clinical practice at the 2nd semester, the sample had been taken as much as 104 respondent according to inclusion criteria. The independen variabel was motivation and personality according to the big five personality theory and the dependent variabel was nurses caring behaviour. The instrument of this research was used questioner and the corelation of motivation and personality student nurse with caring behaviour were analyzed using logistic regresion with level of significance of < 0,05. The result showed that caring behaviour can be explained by the motivation of student. The value of test p=0,000 showed that motivation have corellation with caring behaviour. The student nurse as a perspective nurse must have a strong motivation. A good motivation is used to establish good behaviour will manifest a persons personality from their encouragement.
